Beef Satay Skewers - 8 Pieces
The tasty meat skewers called satay (sate) and its popular tangy peanut sauce originated on the Indonesian Island of Java, and is said to be invented by street vendors inspired by the Indian kebab.
We have prepared our satay sticks using succulent pieces of gloriously marbled, Rangers Valley Black Angus Beef Rump. The rump region of beef is renowned for incredible texture and flavour. The tender morsels of beef have been seasoned using a traditional marinade of fresh lemongrass, turmeric, garlic, ginger and coconut milk.
These delicious skewers are best barbecued over a wood or charcoal fire, or alternatively cooked in a cast iron pan on moderate to high heat in order to achieve the desired caramelised "burnt ends". Serve alongside our lusciously complex house-made peanut sauce (included), a bowl of steamed rice and fresh slices of cucumber.
