Suckling Pig Quarter (Shoulder & Rack) Melanda Park Free Range - 2.5kg approx 33cm x 20cm

Melanda Park. 100 Years In The Making.

For almost one hundred years Melanda Park, on the banks of the Hawkesbury River has been the home of the Stones family, with four generations still living on the property.

Pigs very quickly became an integral part of the farming rotation with their potential recognised for cleaning up the paddocks and removing pests and weeds. Now the manure the pigs leave behind helps grow the next crop, completing the cycle in the relationship between animal and plant.

Using Large Whites crossed with heritage bloodlines, these Free Range Pasture Fed piglets live a happy and healthy life, resulting in a well muscled and robust piglet, with just the right amount of fat.

Roast this shoulder and rack over beautifully tempered coals, slowly. Alternatively this portion of the suckling pig can be cooked beautifully in the oven low and slow.
