Blackmore Fullblood Wagyu Handmade Gyoza - 15 Pack
These traditional Japanese Gyoza are so succulent and flavourful that no dipping sauce is needed.
Using premium ingredients only, these handmade delights are filled with the infamous David Blackmore Fullblood Wagyu Beef, fresh vegetables and wrapped in a thin dough - making them super juicy.
Gyoza are very versatile and can be pan-fried - creating a thin crispy bottom, steamed, boiled or deep-fried.
Available in two varieties - original and spicy.
We recommend the steam & fry technique to enjoy your Gyoza at home:
Once the Gyoza has thawed. Heat 2 - 3 tablespoons of Sesame Oil in a non stick fry pan, bringing the oil to a medium heat;
Place the Gyoza flat base down (crimped edges facing up);
Continue to fry to form a light, golden crust on the base of the Gyoza. This should take approx. 3 minutes;
Add 100 ml cool/tepid water and immediately cover the pan with a lid (you can use a plate or pot lid) to steam the Gyoza. Do not walk away at this stage! You are looking for a translucent Gyoza skin/wrapping.
Once the water has completely evaporated your Gyoza will stop steaming and will resume frying, remove the lid at this stage.
Leave for another 2 minutes to cook and crisp the base. Remove the Gyoza and serve simply or with your favourite dipping sauce.
*The Gyoza can be cooked from frozen. Simply allow a little longer during the cooking process.
